What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device when you visit a website or use a web application. They help the platform remember information about your session, such as whether you are logged in.

Some cookies are set by the website you visit ("first-party cookies"). Others are set by third-party services embedded in the page ("third-party cookies"). Servyn AI uses only first-party cookies.

How Servyn AI Uses Cookies

The Servyn AI web application uses cookies exclusively for essential operational purposes. Without these cookies, the platform cannot function — you would not be able to log in, stay logged in, or use any features.

We do not use cookies for advertising, user tracking, behavioural profiling, or analytics. We do not load any third-party advertising scripts, tracking pixels, or analytics platforms.

Cookies We Set

Cookie NameTypePurposeDurationhttpOnly?
auth_token Essential / Authentication Stores your encrypted session token to keep you logged in. This is a signed JWT token — it cannot be read or modified by JavaScript on the page, protecting you against XSS attacks. 8 hours (standard login) or 30 days (if "Remember Me" is selected) ✅ Yes
active_company Essential / Session In a multi-tenant environment, this cookie records which company account is currently active, allowing the platform to load the correct data for your organisation. Session (cleared when browser closes) ✅ Yes
csrf_token Essential / Security A security token that prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. It ensures that actions performed in your browser genuinely originate from you and not a malicious third party. Session (cleared when browser closes) ❌ No (must be readable by JS to be sent with requests)

All cookies listed above are strictly necessary. Under DPDP Act 2023 and general consent frameworks, strictly necessary cookies do not require your explicit consent as they are essential for the service to function. However, we disclose them fully here in the interest of transparency.

Managing Cookies

You can manage cookies through your browser settings:

The Servyn AI mobile app does not use browser cookies. It uses secure device storage for authentication tokens instead — see our Mobile Privacy Policy for details.

Changes to This Policy

If we introduce any new cookies (for example, if we add an analytics tool in the future), we will update this Cookie Policy, update the "Last Updated" date, and notify active users via email and in-app notification before the change takes effect.
